Language Festival

On 27 September 2024, HDKP took part in the Language Festival at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. This was the second event of this kind organised by the European Commission Representation in Croatia. Visitors could take part in a number of workshops, lectures, courses and quizzes on language. HDKP organised a lecture, 'Found in Translation – conference interpreters as mediators in a multilingual context', presented jointly by our president, Sandra Breznički Ucović and Head of Croatian Interpreting Unit at SCIC, Tatjana Zagajski. After the lecture, the attendees had an opportunity to give simultaneous interpretation a try, with the assistance our members Ivanka Rajh and Nuša Torbica as well as our Secretary General, Erna Ferendža Luburić.
