Lecture given by Prof. Marija Omazić
On Friday 20 May 2016, Prof. Marija Omazić of the Department for the English Language and Literature of the Osijek Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences gave a very interesting lecture entitled “Terminology Management for Conference Interpreting”. In addition to a theoretical overview of the evolution of terminological studies and methods of terminology storage and management, we had an opportunity to learn about several terminological tools developed specifically for conference interpreters, with the aim of facilitating storage and search for appropriate terms during our preparation for conferences, and also enabling us to quickly search our data bases while in a booth. The lecture was well attended, and we are looking forward to continuing our cooperation with the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and organizing similar lectures and workshops.
