15 July 2017 – The Training and Projects Committee of the Croatian Society of Conference Interpreters organized yet another one-day voice coaching workshop for conference interpreters in cooperation with Gabrijela Kišiček from the Phonetics Department of the Faculty of Humanities in Zagreb and Davor Stanković, voice trainer from HRT, the Croatian public broadcasting company.
The workshop was repeated after excellent feedback received from the participants and at the request of a number of colleagues who missed it the first time round. The emphasis was placed on the importance of voice and clear enunciation and diction in the work of all those who use their voice professionally. The workshop included introductory presentations followed by effective exercises based on the individual voice diagnostics of each of the participants.
There were 15 conference interpreters who actively participated in the workshop, all of whom expressed their satisfaction with the pragmatic individual approach as well as their interest in future events of this type.
